Week 2.1

In the first class of Week 2, we started to understand visual cues more. The lecture focused on how context changes marks and icons, and how they then create meaning. We then spent the lesson making marks and patterns that correlated with our three locations. I also started drawing a twig with various perspectives, textures and materials, to which all changed and altered the meaning.

This was an important part of my learning process as it showed how marks are a very important layer of information that can create mood and atmosphere and reflect emotive qualities. I also just enjoyed the more hands on experience of this class.
